Several Wolves qualified last week at the 2B District track and field meet for the divisional meet Saturday, May 19, in Great Falls.
The Wolf Point girls finished in fourth place among the six competing schools with 46 points at the district track meet May 12 in Glasgow.
Wolf Point senior Amanda Sansaver finished in second place in the 100-meter sprint with a time of 13.16. Plentywood’s Ashley Olson won the race with a time of 12.41.
Sansaver finished third in the javelin with a throw of 103’5’.
Freshman Ashley Page placed fifth in the 200m race with a time of 29.07.
Junior Alicia LeDeau took fifth in the 1,600m race with a time of 6:13.75, while teammate freshman Marissa Irizarry finished in sixth place with a time of 6:31.22.
LeDeau and Irizarry finished in fourth and fifth place, respectively, in the 3,200m race with times of 13:36.06 and 13:56.38.
The girls 400m relay team won second place with a time of 54.84.
The girls 4x400m relay team also won second place with a time of 4:36.28.
Page took fifth place in the high jump with a leap of 4’4”, and fifth in the long jump with a leap of 13’61⁄4”.
The Wolf Point boys finished in fifth place among the six schools at the district meet with 28 points.
Senior Dakota Robinson finished in fourth place in the 400m race with a time of 54.94. Robinson placed third in the 800m race with a time of 2:07.00.
Freshman Dalton Hafner finished in fourth place in the 3,200m run with a time of 11:15.63.
The Wolf Point boys finished fourth in the 400m relay with a time of 49.65. The boys placed third in the 1,600m relay with a time of 3:54.60.
Junior Mechiah Zilkoski finished fourth in the high jump with a leap of 5’10”.
The top six finishers in each event advanced to the divisional meet this weekend in Great Falls.
