Deconstruction To Begin On Old Culbertson Road Shop

The Roosevelt County Commissioner revealed that deconstruction of the old Culbertson road shop will begin May 24.
The road shop was a brief topic of discussion at the regular public meeting Tuesday, May 1.

The commissioners said the county road department has removed all salvageable materials from the building. Great Northern Development Corporation also completed a Brownsfield assessment on the building.

Deconstruction is expected to begin May 24 pending permits from the Montana Department of Environmental Quality.

The space where the old road shop rests will be used as additional space for fairgrounds parking.

Additionally, the commissioners approved resignations, hires and board appointments at this meeting.

Gregory Brugh Jr.’s resignation from the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office was accepted. LeEtta Waldhausen was appointed to the aging advisory board. Dennis Fourbear was reappointed to the board of health. Finally, Sam Austin was hired for a position at the Roosevelt County Health Department.

The commissioners also approved minutes for the regular public meeting, April 24.
