The Town of Culbertson’s seventh annual Spring Clean-Up to celebrate Arbor Day was held Saturday, May 5.

All community members were invited to meet at Culbertson’s Town Hall at 9 a.m. and sign up. Individuals that signed up received a ticket for prize drawings and sign up for non-profit organizations lasted until 9:30 a.m.

Winners were drawn at noon at the Town Hall during the community barbecue.

Trash bags and gloves were provided at the Town Hall. Roughly 30 participants were signed up for the event.

The 4-H Clovers took first place, receiving $150. Culbertson Parks took second place, receiving $100 and the Cub Scouts placed third, receiving $50.

For the barbecue following the event, Kt Northington, Jaimee Green and Amber Fox brought the side dishes and refreshments. The meat was donated by Hometown Market of Culbertson. Raedelle Aspenlieder made her famous chocolate chip cookies and Travis Northington manned the barbecue.

Prizes donated by area businesses were also given out at the barbecue.
