Melvin Clark Receives Distinguished Career Award

Melvin Clark (left) received a Distinguished Career Award from the Montana Sheriff’s and Peace Officer Association in late June. Clark has worked in Roosevelt County for 23 years in various corrections positions. Sheriff Jason Frederick (right) wrote the letter nominating Clark for the award.

 

Melvin Clark, 52, has spent the better part of the last 20 years working for the Department of Corrections in Roosevelt County. He started as a corrections officer in his late 20s before moving up the ladder to the position of jail administrator. Clark now serves the county as the Sexual and Violent Offender Registry officer.
