Local Beautician Welcomes Granddaughter Into The Fold

Connie Bridges has been cutting and styling hair in Wolf Point for 45 years, much of it across from Borge Park on Wolf Point’s north side. Her granddaughter Aiyana Bridges was raised in the salon and has recently joined the family business.

Jackson, Smoker Elected To Frazer School Board

During Tuesday, May 7, Frazer School election, Mary Sue Jackson and Adeline Smoker were the top two vote-getters, earning them three-year terms on the board.

Jackson received 74 votes and Smoker received 68 votes, while opponents Brockie Standing and Jewel Four Star Ackerman received 42 and 40 votes respectively. 
Also receiving one vote each were Mike Cole and Shilo Fourstar.

Frontier Voters Approve Mill Levy

Frontier Elementary School voters approved the district’s requested $10,245.84 mill levy by a narrow four-point margin, 34-30. There are 231 registered voters in the district, with only 64 voting in the election May 7.

Zilkoski, Hansen Reelected To Wolf Point School Board

Wolf Point School District voters extended their vote of confidence Tuesday, May 7, to incumbent board members, Dr. Mark W. Zilkoski and Linda L. Hansen.

Zilkoski received 487 votes to opponent Kaci Wallette’s 144. Zilkoski’s seat is in District, an at-large district with a total number of registered voters of 1,712. Only 632 votes were cast.

Hansen will represent District 2. She beat Lonnie D. Headdress Sr. 34-13. In District 2, there are 278 registered voters, however only 47 ballots were cast.
