The Lady Wolves took care of business beating the District 3B Baker’s Lady Spartans 3-1 (16-25, 28-26, 25-21, 25-23) in a nonconference match in the Wolves’ Den Friday, Aug. 31.
Playing a second nonconference match in two days, Wolf Point also notched a 3-1 win at Class C Scobey Saturday, Sept. 1. Scores of the four sets and stats were not available.
Lady Wolves’ head coach Kim Hanks said she was playing a modified rotation over the weekend due to injuries to several players.
“Hoping to have everyone healthy and ready for our first weekend of conference play,” she said. “We had some injuries this past week.”
District 2B conference play begins in Poplar Friday, Sept. 7 with the Lady Wolves visiting the Lady Indians. Then, Wolf Point will visit the Glasgow Lady Scotties Saturday, Sept. 8.
“We played two very solid teams this weekend. It exposed some weak areas that we need to work on this week,” Hanks said.
